It's Nice To Be Home

Here are two pictures from when we were in CA. We did a nice hike in Lake Tahoe and as you can tell, it was absolutely beautiful! Jeremy had no idea that CA had such beautiful scenery; I told him to wait until he got to Yosemite National Park (that will have to be on another trip though). The other pic, yes we are on the floor, but I couldn't resist. We were at the Capital in Sacramento, CA. I thought the tiling was great! Eureka! :) It was nice to get away from the stress of moving and take those days off and I got to visit with my family even longer after Jeremy flew back to Texas. I just back yesterday and it is good to be home at least for a month before we move to South Carolina. I'll be making another roadtrip to South Carolina with Jer to find a place to move into for about 6 months and then we are off to another adventure somewhere else. There is no telling what is up on the road ahead, but as long as I have Jer, everything will turn out fine!

Still In CA
I would have posted pictures on my blog from my trip, but my parent's "ancient" computer doesn't have the slot where I can put my camera chip in. Jer and I got some beautiful shots from Lake Tahoe; I'll show them when I get back to my normal DSL running computer too so everything will be fast! :)

Jer left back to hot Texas yesterday, and it's very weird without him. I haven't been seperated from him since we've been married, but I'll still have fun even if he isn't here. It's only 11 more days; I think we will both survive!

Okay, so this weather here in Cali is freezing me out! I am so used to the over 100's in Texas that when I come here, I'm constantly wearing a sweater. Mom says my blood is too thin because I'm used to the intense heat. I guess that could be true. Dad wanted me to get into the icy water in Monterey and go snorkeling with him. I would have loved to if the water was just a little bit warm. Sorry to disappoint you dad but I just couldn't do it!

Can't wait to see you, Mrs. Young. I'll be calling you on Monday!

Sunny CA Here I Come!
With all the hectic and busy time there is in moving, I am taking a short holiday to California....how irresponsible of me but I don't care! :) I actually had gotten my returning ticket a long time before this move happened. If all goes well, we will be taking a military "hop" out there and Jer and I are going to spend a few days in Lake Tahoe. Then we are going to visit some of my family up in the Sacramento area as well. Jer will be heading back before me, so I get to spend more time with mom and dad for another two weeks. If, by chance, we get a renter in here and have to be totally moved out by the end of August, I'll be changing my ticket and coming back to Texas. (I sure hope that doesn't happen) I'm looking forward to going to Monterey, Carmel, and seeing friends.

I hope everything works out and if it doesn't go according to my plan, I'll just have to accept that! :)

Welcome To The Military!
I was up all last night trying to figure things out concerning our house. We are planned to move to South Carolina for six months for additional military training and then will be stationed somewhere else again. Here comes the headache....Renting our house, Moving into a hotel for a month, Moving all our belongings and either putting in storage until we move or trying to coordinate all the details of having the moving company get our stuff moved to South Carolina and then storage again. The broker told us that we have the best chance of finding renters this month because families will be wanting to get settled before school starts. We have to make the decision of moving out of the house for good be the end of this month. I hate thinking about all of this. Another dilema is we will need to lease an apartment for 6-months while we are in South Carolina and all the apartments I've reviewed only allow 2 pets which means we have to get rid of one of our cats. I hate to think of having to part with any of them....I'm so attached to all three! I could just cry about that and all the stress and headaches that are going to result in this transition. Welcome To The Military! (They should give prospective wives a course on this stuff just to prepare them)
